Shari was raised in Manson and graduated from Manson High School in 1985. She attended Eastern Washington University, then graduated in 1990 from Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington with a BA in Biblical Literature, and a minor in Christian Education. After graduating, she moved home, worked for her Mom in a travel agency, then met and married Darrin Dietrich, a Chelan native. They raised three girls in the Chelan Valley. After her travel agency experience, she started SignGirl, a vinyl graphic sign company in 2001 and still works in this business today. Shari and her husband also own and operate Chelan RV Rentals and run their Cherry orchard. Shari served on the Chelan Fruit board for one year and on the City of Chelan Planning Commission for 5 years until she was elected to the City Council. Living in the Chelan Valley since the mid 70's Shari has seen a lot of change and is passionate about being a part of decisions that affect the valley's growth - in ways where we still recognize our "little town of Chelan".
